Are You Ready For The New Sparkle Blend Release!!!!!

Are you all as excited as I am for this new release!!!! Check these out. My daughter Ally and I got to spend some Mother Daughter Sparkly Crafting Time. And I have to share these with you all.

So up first, I am using Silver Bells Sparkle Blend in the super sparkly holiday card. And to mix it up a bit I made the bow in this fabulous lavender textured paper just to be a tad untraditional. I really love how this came out and this blend is absolutely gorgeous!

And check out what Ally came up with! She is using Holly Berry, Minter Is Coming and Silver Bells Sparkle Blends on her card. I adore all the amazing elements she used on her card! How fabulous is this!

We both used papers and foam shapes and dies from Queen and Company North Pole Kit as well. They do such an amazing job. Queen and Company and Sparkle Blends make for a perfect afternoon!

So head over to the Sparkle Blends Shop. Grab your favorites from the new release. Ok, they are ALL fabulous so maybe grab them all while they are still available! There is even an October Bundle! And, take a look on the Doodles Paper Playground blogFacebook page and in the Sparkle Blends Fan Club on Facebook to see all the fun things going on!

We do hope you enjoy these projects and can't wait to see what you create!

There Is Just Something About A Classic Happy Birthday

Hi Everyone! Today I am bringing you this classic, elegant birthday card project! So let's get started! To begin with I have used Royal Sundance Felt Brilliant White Cardstock for my card base. I have cut my card base to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and then scored and folded at 4 1/4" to create the card base.

Then using Pop-Tone Orange Fizz Cardstock and Stardream Metallic Gold Cardstock, I cut two beautiful decorative layers with a die set from Crafters Companion, and then using the same Royal Sundance Felt Brilliant White Cardstock I stamped this beautiful script happy birthday from a fabulous sentiment set from LDRS Creative, using StazOn Black Licorice and my MISTI, then using Gina K Embossing Powder Fine Detail Clear, I heat set the happy birthday, and then using a coordinating die from the same die set, I cut out the sentiment.

I used Scor Tape to adhere all my parts and pieces.

I really love how this turned out. I do hope you like this project and as always, I can't wait to see what you create!

Wishing You A Very Merry Christmas

Hi Everyone! I guess I am playing with Fall and Winter today! I decided to have a play with inks and this fabulous set from Hero Arts. Take a look!

As this is a layering stamp set I am definitely using my MISTI. But honestly one of the things I adore about this set is that you don't have to be exactly perfect on your stamping. Actually you even want it to not be perfect to make your trees not all look identical. The Christmas tree has one stamp for the trunk and three layers for the green, at least how I stamped this, and one layer for the red on the tree. This set also had the star for the tree top, three sentiments, a tree stand and a grounding line, which you can see I did use to show the front tree as planted in the ground.

I used Catherine Pooler Inks in the following colors to create my scene: Lime Rickey, Eucalyptus, Spruce, Rockin Red, and Sauna. I also used Memento Tuxedo Black for my tree and sentiment. I then used a blending brush with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide to add the sky that you see in the shaker behind the trees. I then cut a white layer and a metallic silver card layer, as well as a foam circle shaker and die to create my shaker space and filled the shaker with Catherine Pooler Crater Lake Sequin Mix. Finally I assembled everything and adhered to a white cardstock card base with my favorite scor tape.

Celebrate The Little Things

Hi Everyone! I really love all things Fall. Today I have played with a fabulous stamp set from Clearly Besotted called Ring Around Autumn with Sparkle Blends Autumn Harvest Mix! I have used my Copics to color up the Fall wreath. I then fussy cut the center out of the Fall wreath. I have used a metallic gold paper and circle dies and foam shaker circle shapes and dies from Queen and Company. I have attached everything together with Scor Tape.

This shaker mix is definitely a favorite for me! It is really the perfect mix for all fall projects. You can see all the wonderful elements here!

Happy Fall

Hi Everyone! Is it starting to feel like Fall where you are? I decided to have a play with inks and this fabulous set from Hero Arts. Take a look!

When I am using layering stamps I do personally love using my MISTI. I find that I have a lot more control over exactly where I am stamping, as well as having the ability to restamp. The tree with five different leaf layering parts as well as three different sentiments are all from this amazing set. I was even able to use the leaf layers on the ground to create the fall leaves all over the ground area as well as the tree.  I used Catherine Pooler Inks in the following colors to create my scene:Icing on the Cake, Limoncello, Lemongrass, Orange Twist, Tutti Frutti and Samba. I did also use a blending brush with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide to add the sky. I then cut the gold and orange layers and adhered them to a white cardstock card base. I attached everything with my favorite scor tape.

Treat Yourself

Hi Everyone! Today I am bringing you this gift card greeting card project! So let's get started! To begin with I have used Classic Crest Natural White 110 pound cardstock for my card base. I have cut my card base to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and then scored and folded at 4 1/4" to create the card base.

Then using Pop-Tone Orange Fizz Cardstock and Stardream Metallic Gold Cardstock along with Classic Crest Natural White 110 pound cardstock I stamped, using my MISTI, and die cut my layers and card pieces. The stamp sets and die sets are from Catherine Pooler Club Sursee. The Catherine Pooler ink colors used are Aquatini, Icing on the Cake, Orange Twist, and Tiki Torch. I stamped my sentiments using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and my MISTI stamping tool.

I used Scor Tape to adhere all my parts and pieces. I did choose to adhere the gift card coffee sleeve to the inside of the card, but you can also use it as a standalone gift card holder, or leave it loose and just inserted in the card. It is just personal preference.

I really love how this turned out. I do hope you like this project and as always, I can't wait to see what you create!

Happy Halloween!

Hi Everyone! Today I am in a bit of a Halloween mood! After all it is only 90 degrees here in New Mexico, so that autumn breeze is really putting the Halloween thrill in the air! Ok, maybe not, but I am still already feeling the Fall and Halloween spirit.

For this project I have used Spooky Village Stamps and Dies from Lawn Fawn along with the Lawn Fawn Cloud Stencil and Heffy Doodle Circle Marquee Stencil and of course  Sparkle Blends You Make Me Batty Mix! I have used my Copics to color up the houses as well as the little trick or treaters. I used Distress Oxides to create my sky background. I have also used Lawn Fawn rolling hills die cut for my ground. I used the Lawn Fawn matching dies to cutout my pieces, and have attached everything together with Scor Tape.

I adore all the fun elements in this shaker mix! It is so perfect for all those fun Halloween scenes! You can see all the wonderful elements here!
