Let's Get Interactive!

Hi Everyone! Today I am going to show you how to create this fun interactive card. We will be using this sweet bunny from the new digital stamp set Spring Friends which you can find here.  Choose what you are going to use to create your opening in your card front. You will want to measure the opening and size your image to completely fit inside the opening with a little wiggle room. When you pull up your image you will copy and paste your exact image and then flip it horizontally to create an exact size mirror image.
Print out the two images as you normally would. Cut out both images and make sure they fit cleanly when placed back to back.

Color your images. Now using a card bas of 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 you are going to create the opening for the interactive element. I am using the Stitched In Circles Die set which you can find here.  Now I position the 3 1/2 inch die from the set on the card base and run it through my die cutting machine to create the opening,

Now I cut my front and back of the front card panels using the same die to make sure I have the openings correctly so that they will line up.

I then adhere the front panel on to the front of the card.

To create the mechanism I am using bakers twine. You can really use any type of thin cord or string. You want to just make sure it is not too thin so that it tears. Take the two images that you have colored and add adhesive to the back of both. You want to make sure you have enough adhesive. Lay the first image face down in the opening and place the twine over the card base across the back side of the colored image and back onto the card base. Use a bit of adhesive to adhere the bakers twine to the card base on top and bottom.

Adhere the reverse image.

Now on the back of the inside piece of pattern paper cover the back that will be touching the card completely with adhesive and adhere to the card.

You have now completed the mechanism for the interactive card. From here it is finishing touches!
I used Stitched Alphabet Dies which can be found here  and Happy Die which is here to finish off my project.

I hope you like it and give this really easy and fun technique a try!

Hugs,

Judy

Fun Fashion Updates Part 2!

Hi Everyone! I found another cute purse at Target and I couldn't help myself! So I bring another fun update your way!

Here is a picture of what you will be using.
So let's begin. First using Small Jump Rings attach the V Connectors to the Open Daisy Trays as shown here.
Next using a Large Jump Ring connect a Filigree Tray to the Butterfly Kiss Charm as shown here.
Using E6000 attach these pieces to the purse as you can see here.
Using Fantastic Super Sticky Dots attach the Tiny Round Glass Bling to the center of the Open Daisy Trays. Using the Sunflower Image Sheet and a Small Round Jewelers Glass use Fantastic Glaze & Glue to attach the image to the glass. When dry, trim around the glass and using Fantastic Super Sticky Dots attach the glass to the Filigree Tray and you are done!

What do you think? Did you like this project?

We love your feedback!

Fashion Update With Craft Fantastic

Ok as we are starting to look toward spring I wanted to get my daughters new purses. And I loved the color of this particular purse but wanted to "bling it up" a bit. Not crazy over the top, mind you, but make it more "her".

So as any crafter would do, yup you guessed it, I turned to some of my favorites from Craft Fantastic.

So the purse was actually gotten at Target. So here we go. I used a piece of origami paper that she happened to like the flower pattern from. For the main piece I am using an Oval Scroll Tray with Small Glass Oval. Adhere the glass to the origami paper with Fantastic Glaze & Glue. Let that dry and trim around the glass. Use Fantastic Super Sticky Dots to adhere the glass to the tray and snip off the link as we will not need it for this project. Using the Fantastic Super Sticky Dots attach the Tiny Round Glass Bling in Champagne to Tiny Round Link Trays and snip off the links on these as well. Use E6000 to adhere the three pieces to the purse.

And there you have it! How cute is that!
So what do you think of this project? I would love to know!
Hugs,
Judy
