Let's Get Interactive!

Hi Everyone! Today I am going to show you how to create this fun interactive card. We will be using this sweet bunny from the new digital stamp set Spring Friends which you can find here.  Choose what you are going to use to create your opening in your card front. You will want to measure the opening and size your image to completely fit inside the opening with a little wiggle room. When you pull up your image you will copy and paste your exact image and then flip it horizontally to create an exact size mirror image.
Print out the two images as you normally would. Cut out both images and make sure they fit cleanly when placed back to back.

Color your images. Now using a card bas of 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 you are going to create the opening for the interactive element. I am using the Stitched In Circles Die set which you can find here.  Now I position the 3 1/2 inch die from the set on the card base and run it through my die cutting machine to create the opening,

Now I cut my front and back of the front card panels using the same die to make sure I have the openings correctly so that they will line up.

I then adhere the front panel on to the front of the card.

To create the mechanism I am using bakers twine. You can really use any type of thin cord or string. You want to just make sure it is not too thin so that it tears. Take the two images that you have colored and add adhesive to the back of both. You want to make sure you have enough adhesive. Lay the first image face down in the opening and place the twine over the card base across the back side of the colored image and back onto the card base. Use a bit of adhesive to adhere the bakers twine to the card base on top and bottom.

Adhere the reverse image.

Now on the back of the inside piece of pattern paper cover the back that will be touching the card completely with adhesive and adhere to the card.

You have now completed the mechanism for the interactive card. From here it is finishing touches!
I used Stitched Alphabet Dies which can be found here  and Happy Die which is here to finish off my project.

I hope you like it and give this really easy and fun technique a try!

Hugs,

Judy
