America My Hero With Polka Dot Orchard

Hi Everyone! Today I am playing with the America My Hero Digi Set from Polka Dot Orchard. This is am amazing set that has so many images as well as sentiments in it! Check out what I came up with.

I actually used two parts from this set, the sentiment and the star background. I printed these digi images using my laser printer, then, for the star background, I used Thermoweb Decofoil in Deep Blue and ran it through my laminator. Then for the sentiment, I used Gina K. Fancy Foils in Red Velvet, and again ran it through my laminator.
Some red and blu cardstock for the layers and finally some sequins from Kindred Stamps from the She's Wonderful collection and a little Imagine Crafts On Point Glue to adhere the sequins. So, what do you think? I would love to know...

Check out this project that I made! It uses We Are 3 Happiness Is Digital Image and We Are 3 Digi Papers Pinkalicious Pink Floral and We Are 3 Sentiments Positive Thoughts and now take a look!

I really love all these pieces which came from We Are 3. This image has a precolored version as well as a black line version. I did use the black line version and colored it up using Copics.

Now one think I really love about digis is that if I print them out using my laser printer, I can then use foiling by running the image, and in this case the sentiment through a laminator. The toner used in laser printers will act as a bond with foils. So I did foil the sentiment in Pink Quartz fromDeco Foil. I added some sequins on my project as well as the pink bow for some added interest. The sequins are Shortcake Shaker Pack from Kindred Stamps. I also used Dotted Oval Dies by Stamps Of Life to cut my oval layers.

I have tried to give you a few slightly different views of the project so you can get a better idea of the colors and how light hits these sparkly accents.

It's Time For Challenge #115 and it is Anything Goes at Scrapy Land!

Who is up for an Anything Goes Challenge? You need to use any brand of die that Scrapy Land sells. There are TWO WINNERS for each challenge. One will be a random winner and the other is chosen by the Design Team. Each winner will receive a generous $10 gift certificate to Scrapy Land.

Scrapy Land carries over 55 brands of dies, so chances are you have a few of the brands in your stash! You can see all the brands carried under the Products category.

And without further ado, here is my project for this challenge!

 

For this project I have used a Lawn Fawn - Fancy Scalloped Rectangle Stackables to create my frame and the stamps used are from Visible Image. I have used Momento Tuxedo Black Ink for stamping my images and Distress Oxides applied with a brush for my background.

Good Morning Spring With Polka Dot Orchard

Hi Everyone! Today I am sharing this fun project featuring a digi set from Polka Dot Orchard called Good Morning Spring, which has not only great images but also great sentiments as well.

For todays project I printed out my image and sentiment on xpressit cardstock and colored up the image with Copic markers. The wow factor then comes next. I had printed using my laser printer, so I could then foil on top of wherever the sentiment and the image was in tomer on the paper. I used Gina K. Gold Shattered Glass Foil and ran it through my laminator. I love the look this gave me! What do you think?

Foil Play!

Hi Everyone! I may be a bit addicted to playing with Foil. And one of the things I do love about foiling on projects is that there are a number of ways to apply foil to a project. For today's project I have used Transfer Gel with a stencil from Honey Bee Stamps. I did let the transfer gel dry overnight. I then used a laminator to apply the foil. Here is what I came up with.
