Otterly Fabulous In Every Way

Hi Everyone! Today I am bringing you this super fun project! I am playing with this adorable stamp set from Heffy Doodle called Otter Side. This is such a fabulously fun set that features five main images, lots of fun props and some wonderful mix and match sentiments. To begin with, I used a Lawn Fan Die Set called Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders to create my wave layers. I then used ink blending brushes with Catherine Pooler Inks in Sand Castle, Aquatini and Fiesta Blue to create my sand and my water layers. As Catherine Pooler Inks react with water I gave my layers a quick water mist and then blotted with paper towel to give it a bit more texture. Next I stamped out my images using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and my MISTI Stamping Tool to stamp out my otters. I used Copics in E13, E15, E18, E30, E34, 100, R21, C1, C3, C5. I then fussy cut out my images. Next, using Scor Tape I started assembling my layers. Then I cut from some holographic cardstock I used two different sets of Lawn Fawn Border Dies to create my base and frame layers. I then attached the frame with foam tape to give a little added dimension. As a final touch I used Catherine Pooler Charleston Sequins to add some sparkle to the water. And there you have it!

Pawsome

Hi Everyone! Today I am bringing you a super cute Graduation card! Let's get started. For this card I am using a fabulous stamp and die set from Catherine Pooler called Peeking Pets, as well as a cover plate die called Garden's Edge and a sentiment die called Pawsome Word. I am also using Stardream Metallic Gold Cardstock, Stardream Metallic Silver Cardstock, Pop Tone Black Licorice Card Stock, Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock 110# and Scor Tape.
I am starting out with a 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 card base in Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. Next, something I find to be super helpful for intricate coverplates and sentiments is to place Scor Tape on the back of the cardstock before running it through the diecutting machine. By doing this I make my intricate die cuts into stickers and find this much easier to work with. Since I am using Stardream Metallic Gold Cardstock to cut two Garden's Edge die panels, I have placed the Scor Tape on the back. I have also done the same with Pop Tone Black Licorice Card Stock as I am using this to cut out my sentiment from Pawsome Word. I then run both through my die cutting machine.

Next, I am using my Misti Stamping Platform with my stamp set and stamping with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. I am then using the matching dies and running this through my die cutting machine.
I then add a touch of color to my puppies with Copics.
Now it is time to assemble my project. I take my two Gold Garden's Edge pieces and attach them to my Stardream Metallic Silver Cardstock and then use a scissor to cut them out.
I then add some Scor Tape to the back of my die cut puppies as well as the little graduation caps and the two Silver Cardstock pieces. I then place my pups onto the white cardstock, then add the Silver and Gold pieces. I then add my sentiment and finally the graduation caps.
I love how the Metallic Gold and Metallic Silver Cardstock definitely give a bit of sparkle and add an extra bit of interest to an already fun card.

I really love how this came out!
Please let me know what you think of this project! And as always, i can't wait to see what you create!

Judy

Enjoy the Beach Life

Hi Everyone! I grew up near the beach, and here in Albuquerque? Well no beach. At least not really. But I can dream, can't I? So today I am bringing this fun beachy shaker card to you! And what better way to show you how amazing the new She Sells Seashells Sparkle Blend. I used a stamp set from Hero Arts with inks from Catherine Pooler to create my ocean and a cloud stencil from MFT Stamps with my Ink Blending Brushes and Distress Oxide Inks to create my cloudy sky. I then used a basic square nesting die set from Stamps Of Life to cut the opening in my card front. I then used some Scor-Tape to adhere my acetate to the back of the square and then foam tape to create my shaker element. My sentiment was also stamped using Catherine Pooler Ink and was from the same Hero Arts Stamp Set. I really love how this came out!

Ok, so check out what I have for you! My first project features the fabulous  out of this world set called Extraterrestrial! This is an infinity shaker card. There is no foam tape used, and the entire front panel is the shaker!. I also used a Hello die from Lawn Fawn for my sentiment, my stamped images are from Lawn Fawn and are a stamp set and a die set called Beam Me Up, and a galaxy paper for my galaxy background that is from a Kindred Stamps Limited Edition Box. I colored up my images using Copics. This was such a fun project to create! I love how this came out!

My second project features Pawsome Pals and is a bit more of a CAS project. I used a Queen and Company paw die to create my shaker element along with a fun foam layer. I then used a super cute Stamp set from Mama Elephant called My Pet Puppies. I stamped my images using my Misti and Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them up with Copics. Then filled my shaker as well as adding some of the shaker bits to the front of my card as well and there you have this super cute Puppy project!

I'll Stand By You

Hi Everyone! Today I am bringing you this super cute Flamingo card. To begin with I have used Classic Crest Solar White 110 pound cardstock for my card base. I then cut from Classic Crest Solar White 80 pound cardstock my panel which I did originally cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. I will make this layer smaller later on. Using my Misti, I then used a stamp set by Catherine Pooler called Stand Tall to stamp all the elements for this card. I stamped the sentiment as well as the two flamingos in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then used Catherine Pooler Lime Rickey and Fiesta Blue to stamp my greenery and my water.
Next I did some really quick and easy coloring using Copics RV17, RV55 and RV52 to color my two flamingos.
I then grabbed a set of layering dies from The Stamp Doctor called A2 Card Layers #2. I then used three of these layering dies to cut don the piece with my stamping as well as a layer in Pop Tone Black Licorice Card Stock and another layer in Pop Tone Razzleberry Card Stock. I used Scor Tape to adhere the layers as well as adhere the panel to the card base.

I really love how this turned out. I do hope you like this project and as always, I can't wait to see what you create!

Hugs,

Judy
