Happy Valentine's Day!

Today I am getting started on Valentine's Day and with that, take a look at what I came up with! I am using Classic Crest Natural White 110 pound cardstock for my card base which I cut to 5 12 by 8 1/2 inches and then scored and folded at 4 1/4 inches to create my card base. Next I am layering Silver Glitter Cardstock cut to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inches. And for my top layer I am using his patterned cardstock from this great product from CutCardstock called Premium 6x6 Assorted Dots and Stripes Discounted Card Stock. This is such a fabulous product and works so well with so many of the solids that they carry. I am using one of the stripe papers and have cut it to 4 x 5 1/4 inches. I then am adhering these layers.

Next I am using a heart stitched die set from Sweet Stamp Shop to die cut my hearts. For the hearts I am using  Wild Cherry Pop-Tone Cardstock and Razzleberry Pop-Tone Cardstock and then layering them and adhering all my layers with Scor-Tape. I then used a stamp set from Heffy Doodle called Classic Sentiment Stamps and a Die Set also from Heffy Doodle called Stitched Strips of Ease to stamp and die cut my sentiment and then added it to the front of my card/ And as a final touch, I added these fun dimensional striped hearts from an older Queen and Company bling collection.

Overall I really love how it turned out and would be a pretty easy project to mass produce if you are needing to make a number of Valentine's Cards.

I do hope you like this project and as always, I can't wait to see what you create!

Hugs,

Judy

Happy New Year Everyone!

Happy New Year Everyone! I know that many of us did not spend New Years Eve in ways that we may usually bring in the new year, but check out this adorable dressy purse! It is perfect for little gifts or perhaps that little gift card for someone special. So lets take a look at how to create  this!

For this project I am using a die set from Concord & 9th called Everyday Purse Builder Dies. This basic die set gives you lots of options, but probably one of the best options is that you can totally determine the look just by what papers you use to create this. So I have selected Pop Tone Black Licorice Card Stock for my purse and paired it with Silver Glitter Cardstock and used this fabulous die set.

By cutting and scoring and adhering with Scor Tape, you wind up with this darling purse.

I then finished it off with a fabulous piece of bling from Queen and Company for my purse closure. Fabulous and totally customizable for any occasion.
I do hope you like this project and as always, I can't wait to see what you create! And Happy New Year!

Hugs,

Judy

Happy New Year Everyone!

Just popping in to share two more fun projects using this New Years set from Newton's Nook! I love using a stamp set in different ways to get a lot of different looks from one set. Have a look at these!

I really love how these came out. And when you look at the other card that i made using this same set, you can really see the diversity you can achieve!

Wishing you all a safe and healthy New Year! Stay tuned for some new projects tomorrow to get the New Year started off right!

Happy New Year!

So I am now working on New Year cards. I may need to start working on next years cards since I feel like I have a lot more holiday ideas and things I still want to play with from this year that I got later in the cardmaking season! But for today, let's talk New Year!

I decided to work with Newton's New Year stamp set from Newton's Nook, and pair this with With A Bang Sparkle Blends as the basis for my project. I love this mix with a mostly black and white and silver color base, but also  purple and even a bit of blue with fabulous shapes and fun elements to give this such a magical mix feel. I also am using Fancy Frames Kit from Queen and Company for my framed shaker element. I have been working on cleaning up my craftroom and if you are like me you probably have 6x6 pads that are partially used and as we start making cards for the next holiday or next season these paper pads stay partially used and get buried on our desks. With that said, these papers are actually from Halloween Hoopla 6x6 Paper Pad from Queen and Company. While the front sides are very Halloween, the back sides are these amazing bright pattern papers that are totally perfect for this project. I did use A2 Card Layers #2 from the Stamp Doctor to cut my background layers. I colored up Newton and his champagne glass using my copics, and to pull it all together I used my main go to Scor Tape to adhere it all.
