Hang In There With Sparkle Blends!

Hi Everyone! Do you love pandas as much as I do? Then this new sequin mix called You're Pand-tastic is for you! And this time I did a little something different. Check it out!
So I decided to create a full panel shaker. This project uses no foam tape so for mailing it does have a slimmer profile. I started with a cloud stencil from C C Designs called, Cloud Stencil. I used Catherine Pooler Fiesta Blue Ink with my blending brushes to create the sky. Next I used a Die-namics Die from My Favorite Things called Scenic Safari. What I did was use this die to cut a sheet of paper to create a stencil for my grass layers. Then using Catherine Pooler Lime Rickey Ink and my blending brush I created the grassy part of the background. Then I used a stamp set from Whimsy Stamps called Panda Butt, and the matching die set which is also the same name for my trees, panda, and sentiment. For the trees and sentiment I stamped with Catherine Pooler Eucalyptus, Lime Rickey and Garden Party, and used Copics R20, C1, C3, C5, C7, C9 and 100. I also used green metallic cardstock with an embossing folder from Darice called Vine Background.
Now here is the fun part. I cut my layer of acetate so that it was an inch larger in both directions than the panel with the scene. I then scored it to be the same size as the panel. I then used Scor Tape on the back of the panel and peeled the of the side of tape, adhering the acetate to the panel on three sides. I then added my shaker mix and sealed the last side. I then attached this layer to the metallic green layer and finally attached the whole thing to the card base. I really adore how this came out, and check out all the fun elements in this mix, like those cute panda faces!!!!!

Remember The 80's?

Hi Everyone! Do the 80's feel like just yesterday for you? For me they certainly do, and this new blend called I Love The 80's really captures all that 80's spirit! So check out my project for today.
The first thing I thought of when I saw this blend was roller skating in the 80's and a few months ago Catherine Pooler had come out with these fun stamps that I thought was just perfect. So I stamped my background using At The Rink background stamp using my Wow Embossing Pad and used Nuvo Fine Detail Embossing powder in Glacier White. I then used blending brushes to apply my Catherine Pooler inks to create my fun skate background layer. I then used a Lawn Fawn layering die to create the white frame. I then used scor-tape to attach a layer of acetate to the back of the frame. Next I used foam adhesive tape to create my shaker area. I then added I Love The 80's and sealed the shaker space. Next I stamped out and die cut the two pairs of roller skates that are from the Let The Good Times Roll stamp and Die sets, and added a little color with my Copics. I then added some stars from the sequin mix to my roller skates and adhered these to the frame. I then used a Happy Birthday sentiment and its matching shadow layer from Crafters Companion for my sentiment. I hen adhered the sentiment and there you have it!

Meow & Fur-Ever

Every once in a while you meet that Fur-Ever soul mate. In this case I think Newton certainly did! Check this out.
Look how cute and cozy these two are. This is a super cute stamp set that you can find at Scrapsalot called Newtons Sweethearts. This is just one of the three images in this adorable set. I colored them up with copics and thought a shaker would be fun. I used a circle die from my stash to cut the base layer that had the colored up image. I then used some fun foam, acetate and Scor Tape to create my shaker. I filled it with Catherine Pooler Springfield Sequin Mix.
I then used pattern paper from Doodlebug Down on the Farm 6x6 paper pad, and Lawn Fawn layering dies to create my layers. And if you shake the card around it reveals the fabulous sentiment!
Scrapsalot carries most of these amazing products in the store! You can also check with Debra for availability on specific products,  and while you are there, here is a code for a 10% discount on your order! Just enter JUDY10 at checkout for your discount! Congratulations

Hi Everyone! Today I am playing with Double Or Nothing Sparkle Blends! And this project is so perfect for right now! This is great for Grads or wishing someone luck on a new adventure. So have a look at today's project.

This Sparkle Blend is such a fun blend that has even dice and playing cards in addition to so many fun shapes and sizes of red, white and black sparkly sequins and beads. I used a Congratulations Die that also has a shadow layer as well as a fun nested frame set, both from Crafters Companion as well as an older fun alpha numeric die set from Craftin Desert Divas for my number seven. I wanted a certain shade of red and a certain shade of yellow so I used my copics to create the red and yellow paper layers. Additionally I used solid white cardstock, black cardstock, blue cardstock and a holographic piece of cardstock from a 6x6 DCWV Cardstock Stack. I love how this has a slot machine, Vegas feel to it. I really love how this came together!
