It Is Time For A Valentine's Day Blog Hop With CCS!

Welcome to the CutCardstock Valentine's Day Blog Hop! We are so excited you are here. So grab a cuppa and hop along with us! Oh and before you hop, there is a $40 gift card up for grabs for CutCardstock.

How awesome is that! To be eligible for the $40 gift card, you must comment at each stop along the hop or upload a project that includes product from CutCardStock to the CutCardstock blog. The winner will be randomly selected via number generator and announced on Monday, February 8th on the CutCardstock Blog and Facebook page. Here are the hop stops!

So take a look at what I came up with! I am using Classic Crest Natural White 110 pound cardstock for my card base which I cut to 5 12 by 8 1/2 inches and then scored and folded at 4 1/4 inches to create my card base. I am then cutting a layer of  Razzleberry Pop-Tone Cardstock to 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 for my base layer.  For my next layer I used a die layering set from Lawn Fawn to cut this layer from  patterned cardstock from this great product from CutCardstock called Premium 6x6 Assorted Dots and Stripes Discounted Card Stock. I really adore this product and it is really a must for every cardmakers craftroom. Next I used a layering die from a Lawn Fawn layering set and cut it twice, once from the Razzleberry Pop-Tone Cardstock and once from the original white cardstock I had used on the base. I used the center rectangle from the white and the frame from the Razzleberry Pop-Tone Cardstock to create another layer.  I then attached these layers with Scor-Tape.

Next I used a new fabulous heart die and shaker parts and pieces from a new set from Queen and Company called Love Letter Shaker Kit. For the heart I used Razzleberry Pop-Tone Cardstock. I then used a stamp that is included with the set for my sentiment which I stamped with Catherine Poolers new ink called Pucker Up. I again used leftover pieces of the same white and Razzleberry cardstock for my sentiment. I then filled my heart shaker with an older sequin mix from Sparkle Blends called Rosey Gold.

I really love how it turned out!

So next head on over to the CutCardstock Blog, where you can link up your own creation and finish out the hop! I do hope you like this project and as always, I can't wait to see what you create!

Judy

If You Are A Fur Mommy Like Me, Then These Are Must Haves!

I really do love combining products from different companies, and sometimes I can even combine things from different teams I am on. This is one of those projects. One design team I am on is Crafting of Hue. Our sponsor this week is CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and they have this fabulous stamp set called Nate and Friday Stamp Set. I decided I wanted to do a shaker card with this adorable set so I paired it with Pawsome Pets Sparkle Blend. Check out how perfect these work together!

So head over to the Sparkle Blends Shop. Grab your favorites and be sure to check out the whole new release before they are gone! And as always, take a look on the Doodles Paper Playground blogFacebook page and in the Sparkle Blends Fan Club on Facebook to see all the fun things going on!

I Love Showing Love In Sparkles!

Well I am back at it again! Are you adoring the new blends this month! Check out this resin heart I made using Lovestruck Sparkle Blends! What an absolutely gorgeous mixture this is!!!! I seriously cannot get enough of it!

I am still working on my resin techniques and working on that learning curve but I am totally hooked. And there is this moment when you are removing your piece from your mold and you have no idea how the finished product will look until you remove it and when all goes well and you literally do a happy dance! Yeah I am having fun for sure! I will keep you all updated on this as I go with some other projects coming soon! I do totally need to get more of this mix while it is still available!

Something Different

Do you ever find that you have a favorite crafty item that you really love and don't necessarily want to use up. Well I have been working on some different things to do with my Sparkle Blends in a way that I can keep them but also use them. So for today's project, I made this super cute Resin Heart!

I have used the new blend called Rainbow-tastic for this project!  I just love everything about this blend! Have a look.

Now I will say there is definitely a learning curve with using resin and not all resins are created equal. I will keep you all updated on this as I go with some other projects coming soon! But I definitely need to get more of this mix while it is still available!
