How to Ombre Easy!

CDD Easy Ombre With DT Judy

Hi Everyone! Judy here from the CDD Digi team bringing you the worlds easiest ombre technique! Now I say worlds' easiest but I haven't literally been all over the world so... Ok first lets just understand, to ombre is to create a gradient. There will be a darkest part and lighten up to a lightest part. For this project I have only used one color of Distress oxide Ink, Salty Ocean. I also used  one of the Ranger small round ink applicators. Distress and Distress Oxides work great for this technique because you can layer and increase the depth and brightness of the color.

So I started using my blending tool at one end of the cardstock and applied a first layer. I then applied subsequent layers starting at the same end and going a bit further down the cardstock with each layer.
By the time I have reached the bottom of the cardstock the top may have four or five layers of the ink and the bottom will only have one. There you have ombre.
From here I have then used this as my background and then create my card. I have used the CDD Digi image called Genie Wishes and colored her with Copics. I fussycut her and adhered her to our ombre background. I added a bit of sparkle to the background with CDD Polar Frost sequins and Nuvo Glitter accents in Fresh Snowfall. I then cut out my sentiment from the Wishing Die from CDD and also used Fancy Frame Dies to cut out my ombre layer and adhere to a plain white base.
I do hope you like this project and thank you for stopping by!

Hugs,
Judy
