Sketch Journal Cover

Today I am going to show you how to create your own Journal Cover. You can use this on notebooks, sketch pads, or any type of book or journal to bring your own personality to your book.

I am using a plain Artists Loft Sketchbook. The cover measures 8 inches by 5.5 inches. I will cut a piece of cardstock to that dimension as well as 2 pieces of ribbon 8 inches long and 2 pieces 5.5 inches long.

Next I will run the ribbon through my X sticker maker and the cardstock through my Creative Station.

I will adhere all these to my cover. Add some embellishments and you are there! A fun, and personalized book that is you!

Thanks for stopping bye!

Tea Step Card

Today we are going to make a tea step card today featuring Stamps and Dies from Stephanie Barnard and the Xyron Creative Station and X sticker maker!

When doing a card of this nature there are a number of parts that need to be assembled. So first, all the pieces are cut out, or stamped and cut out, based on what is needed for each piece. Then I bring out my Xyzon Creative Station. I run everything through at one time. Because this is not a wet adhesive, I get great coverage, everything sticks on the first try and I am not having to hold pieces together while I wait for adhesive to dry or to grip the material.

Then it is as simple as peel and stick. And your project is complete!

Valentines Bear Box

For our project today we are going to make a decorative box for Valentines Day, featuring xyron. We are starting with a plain paper mache box from Michaels. The lid measures 4 1/8 inches by 4 1/8th inches, and the sides of the lid measure 4 1/8th inches by 11/16th inchess. The sides of the bottom of the box measure 2 3/8th inches by 4 inches.

I am using a bit of craft paint to paint the edges.  am using Americana Acrylic craft paint in Baby Pink. As you can see from the picture I am only concerned with the edges and not the entire surface because we will be covering these surfaces with paper.

I am then cutting cardstock as follows: 1 piece for the lid measuring 4 inches by 4 inches, 4 pieces for the sides of the bottom of the box measuring 2 1/4 inches by 3 3/4 inches, and one piece of 1/2 inch ribbom measuring 18 inches.

Using my Xyron Creative Station, I run the pieces of cardstock through the Creative Station. This allows me solid even coverage of adhesive and makes projects like this much quicker and easier.

Next I run my piece of ribbon through my Xyron X sticker maker. I love that you can make so many things into stickers, making projects like this so much easier. Wrap the ribbon around the edge of the lid as shown in the picture. Your project at this point is basically complete. You can decorate the lid in any way that you choose. I am decorating with a Valentines Day Bear. I am cutting the pieces of the bear from cardstock and will run these pieces through my Creative Station as well.

How cute is this!
