Thank You Dad...

Hi Everyone! Today I am sharing a fun and mostly monochromatic Father's Day card with you! So let's get started. For this project I am using an A2 size card base cut and scored from CutCardstock Neenah Classic Crest Card Stock in Solar White 110# Cover.  I then cut a card layer measuring 4 inches by 5 1/4 inches out of Basis Grey Cardstock. I then used my Misti along with a fabulous older stamp set from Altenew called Best Dad. I used some of the imagery from this set and stamped it on to the Basis Grey with Black Jack Ink from Catherine Pooler. I really love this color with this cardstock as you can still see the images but in terms of the card it is still subtle.
Next I used a square die to cut my window.
I then used Scor-Tape on the back side of the Basis Grey to adhere my acetate layer.
Next, using foam tape I created my shaker space.
I then used a wonderful shaker mix from Sparkle Blends called Shooting Star and filled my shaker space. I then attached my Basis Grey to my card base. I then stamped out the book image from the set using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it in with Copics, and finally, stamped the sentiment on to Pop Tone Black Licorice Card Stock with Versamark Watermark Ink and then used Zing Embossing Powder in Opaque White. I heatset the sentiment then trimmed it down. I then popped it up with Foam Tape and there you have it.

I really love how this turned out. I do hope you like this project and as always, I can't wait to see what you create!

Hugs,

Judy

I Wish You Were Here

Hi Everyone! Today I am playing with Iced Coffee Sparkle Blends! And this project is so perfect for right now! And Sparkle Blends is a sponsor for the Coffee Lovers Spring Summer Blog Hop! This is truly an amazing blog hop so check it out.

So take a look at my project. This project has several different elements to it. First, for my shaker I used a die set from Stamp Simply called A Cup Of Java. This die set is a perfect size for creating shakers. And the sentiment comes from the matching stamp set with the same name. Now I wanted to give the feel of a tall iced coffee, which is perfect with this Iced Coffee Sparkle Blend. So what I did was create my shaker with acetate on both sides so that the shaker felt more like a tall clearish glass.
For my background scene I used Sunflower Field Color Layering Scape from Hero Arts with Catherine Pooler Inks in Grass Skirt, Lime Rickey, Rockin Red, Tiki Torch, and Limoncello. And for my sky I used Distress Oxides in Broken China and Mustard Seed and applied with blending brushes.
