Happy Holidays

So today I am playing with the fabulous Sparkle Blend mix called Lights In The Forest. I have to be honest, this is such an amazing blend and can be used for so many different things, that it is pretty much a must! I have paired it with this fabulous Stamp Set from Hero Arts called Winter Woods HeroScape. These things together work so well for making an Infinity Shaker, which you all know I love doing. I did use a bunch of inks between stamping and blending, so for my layering I used Catherine Pooler inks in Spruce, Aquatini, Hot Tub, and Stone Blue. I also used for my ink blending Distress Oxides in Black Soot, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, and Faded Jeans. For my sentiment and my black stamping I used Memento Tuxedo Black. Additionally I used acetate for my shaker panel with one inch wide scor tape to create the infinity shaker and finally some blue glitter cardstock from DCWV and my card base is Classic Crest Natural White 110lb cardstock cut and scored to create an A2 size base.

This is really such a perfect blend for so many things, that I personally may need to grab some more before it is gone!

So head over to the Sparkle Blends Shop. Grab your favorites from the November release while they are still available! And as always, take a look on the Doodles Paper Playground blogFacebook page and in the Sparkle Blends Fan Club on Facebook to see all the fun things going on!

I do hope you enjoy this project and can't wait to see what you create!

Santa's Favorite

Have you been working on those Holiday Cards? I have! Check out this one.

I am using Classic Crest Natural White 110 pound cardstock for my card base. I have cut my cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and then scored and folded at 4 1/4" to create the card base. Now I love using cardstock to create layers for my cards. I am using a die set from The Stamp Doctor called A2 Card Layers #2. I am using Stardream Metallic Silver Cardstock,  Habanero Cardstock, and Bonsai Green Canvas Textured Cardstock to cut my different size mats. I then adhered these with Scor Tape.

Next I am using a digital image from Joy Clair called Santa's Favorite for my images and sentiment. What I really love is this is a really easy set to work with and requires very little coloring, I have dine a bit of fussy cutting and did use my Copics for the coloring I did do. And of course, I adhered these on with Scor Tape.

I really love how this turned out. I do hope you like this project and as always, I can't wait to see what you create!

Judy

May You Never Be Too Grown Up...

Are you ready to get started on those holiday cards? For me it is definitely time. So check out todays holiday shaker card!

First I am using Classic Crest Natural White 110 pound cardstock for my card base. I have cut my cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and then scored and folded at 4 1/4" to create the card base. Next I am using Stardream Metallic Silver Cardstock to cut a 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 inch card mat. Next I am cutting Habanero Cardstock to 5 1/4  4 inches to create the next mat. Next I am cutting Bonsai Green Canvas Textured Cardstock to 5 x 3 3/4 inches to create the next mat. I have then adhered these with Scor Tape.

For these next steps I used a shaker card kit from Queen and Company called Winter Wonderland. From this kit I used the foam shapes and acetate for my shaker as well as the dies for the trees, the Santa in his sleigh and the snowglobe itself. The snowglobe frame was cut from the same Habanero Cardstock. The trees are cut from the same Bonsai Green Canvas Textured Cardstock, the Santa in the sleigh with the reindeer is cut from Pop Tone Black Licorice Cardstock, and the sentiment, which was stamped with Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, was stamped onto the same Classic Crest Natural White 110 pound cardstock and die cut. The pattern paper also comes from the kit.and finally the shaker bits are from a Sparkle Blends sequin mix called Minter Is Coming

And of course, I adhered it all together with Scor Tape.

I really love how this turned out. I do hope you like this project and as always, I can't wait to see what you create!

Hugs,
