Thought Of You Today

Hi Everyone! Today I am playing with Classic Crest Natural White 110 pound cardstock. I am using Classic Crest Natural White 110 pound cardstock for my card base which I cut to 5 12 by 8 1/2 inches and then scored and folded at 4 1/4 inches to create my card base. Now to officially start I have taken one sheet and cut it in half. I have then just created an inky background using Catherine Pooler inks in Pucker Up, Be Mine, Tiara and Tiki Torch. I have then used my Taylored Expressions Blender Brushes and created an easy blended background as you can see here.

Next I am using a die cut cover plate from Catherine Pooler called Gardens Edge and a stamp and die set called Happy Butterflies also from Catherine Pooler. I am stamping and die cutting from the ink blended paper that I created. I have used my Memento Tuxedo Black ink for my black stamping and then used my Sizzix Big Shot to die cut my pieces.

I have stamped my sentiment directly on my card base and then used my Xyron to add adhesive to the back of my elements. And here you can see how this all comes together.

I have an affiliate link for CutCaardstock if you would please consider using it. It doesn't cost you anything to use and does help me continue to bring you fun and fabulous projects! Here is the link:

I love how this turned out! I do hope you like this project and as always, I can't wait to see what you create!

Music Of The Heart

So today I am playing with Annie's Music Of The Heart Sparkle Blend. This month Amber worked with all the designers individually to make our own Sparkle Blend. This blend is so much fun! It has fabulous colors, plus musical notes, lots of hearts and just plain fun colors and shapes!

I have used the Sparkle Blend in resin to make this fun trinket dish. I really love how suspending the Sparkle Blends in Resin really lets you see all the gorgeous colors as light reflects off the blends. Have a look!

So head over to the Sparkle Blends Shop. Grab your favorites and be sure to check out the whole new release before they are gone! And as always, take a look on the Doodles Paper Playground blogFacebook page and in the Sparkle Blends Fan Club on Facebook to see all the fun things going on!

I do hope you enjoy this project and can't wait to see what you create!

Hugs!

Have A Magical Day!

Hi Everyone! Today I am sharing with you a project made with My Sparkle Blend! This month Amber worked with all the designers individually to make our own Sparkle Blend and this is mine. It is called Judy's Royal Shine! One of the fun things I love about this blend is it is also a great kind of rainbowy mix as well and you can use it for so many things beyond princess cards!

And to go with my blend I have used Fairy Tales Doodlebug 6x6 Paper Pad along with Magical Characters Kit from Queen and Company for my Shaker Shape and my stamped sentiment. I also used Pixie Dust Ink from Catherine Pooler!

It Is Time For A Valentine's Day Blog Hop With CCS!

Welcome to the CutCardstock Valentine's Day Blog Hop! We are so excited you are here. So grab a cuppa and hop along with us! Oh and before you hop, there is a $40 gift card up for grabs for CutCardstock.

How awesome is that! To be eligible for the $40 gift card, you must comment at each stop along the hop or upload a project that includes product from CutCardStock to the CutCardstock blog. The winner will be randomly selected via number generator and announced on Monday, February 8th on the CutCardstock Blog and Facebook page. Here are the hop stops!

So take a look at what I came up with! I am using Classic Crest Natural White 110 pound cardstock for my card base which I cut to 5 12 by 8 1/2 inches and then scored and folded at 4 1/4 inches to create my card base. I am then cutting a layer of  Razzleberry Pop-Tone Cardstock to 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 for my base layer.  For my next layer I used a die layering set from Lawn Fawn to cut this layer from  patterned cardstock from this great product from CutCardstock called Premium 6x6 Assorted Dots and Stripes Discounted Card Stock. I really adore this product and it is really a must for every cardmakers craftroom. Next I used a layering die from a Lawn Fawn layering set and cut it twice, once from the Razzleberry Pop-Tone Cardstock and once from the original white cardstock I had used on the base. I used the center rectangle from the white and the frame from the Razzleberry Pop-Tone Cardstock to create another layer.  I then attached these layers with Scor-Tape.

Next I used a new fabulous heart die and shaker parts and pieces from a new set from Queen and Company called Love Letter Shaker Kit. For the heart I used Razzleberry Pop-Tone Cardstock. I then used a stamp that is included with the set for my sentiment which I stamped with Catherine Poolers new ink called Pucker Up. I again used leftover pieces of the same white and Razzleberry cardstock for my sentiment. I then filled my heart shaker with an older sequin mix from Sparkle Blends called Rosey Gold.

I really love how it turned out!

So next head on over to the CutCardstock Blog, where you can link up your own creation and finish out the hop! I do hope you like this project and as always, I can't wait to see what you create!

Judy
