For this challenge I got to play with Over the Rainbow from Dr. Digi's. Now you may be thinking how is this "One For The Boys"? And actually there is a little explanation with this. This one is literally for my boy! This is for my hubby for our anniversary, which is this summer. We will be celebrating 10 years, but met over 40 years ago! So I tucked this away so he doesn't see it!
This image has been colored up with Copics. I also used ink blending for the cloudy sky with literally whatever ink happened to still be in my light blue blending brush. The patterned paper is from Queen and Company.

So we would love for you to play along! Remember this challenge is  For The Boys, so post your image on the Crafty Gals Corner Blog for a chance to win the prizes for this challenge! Ever wanna give flowers?

Hey Everyone! So here is a little thing you may not know about me. I absolutely do not have a green thumb. I love flowers but, well, growing them isn't my specialty. But I can create them in the form of a pop up flower card. I wanted to do something a little different than the pop up cards I have been seeing a lit of. I am creating this with a fabulous die set from I-Crafter called Box Pops, Oval Base. This not only creates the pop up mechanism but comes with flower dies. You can use this base with lots of other sets in your stash. They also have different add-ons which give you so many opportunities. So I am using DCS Discount Card Stock: Textured Pearl Green Curry Card StockSilk GLITTER Opulent Opal 12x12 Card Stock, DCS Discount Card Stock: Pearlized Strawberry Cream Pink, DCS Discount Card Stock: Canvas Textured Flamingo Card Stock, and DCS Discount Card Stock: Pearlized Textured Fruit Punch Pink.

I am cutting two of the base pieces out of the green and am using a liquid adhesive to attach my pieces. You can use lots of different types of adhesive, but you do want a strong hold. I have also cut stems and petals from the same green. I then am using different colors of cardstock, as listed above, and cutting assorted pieces out of these cardstocks and then adhering them, mixing and matching, to create different flowers. I am then adhering the different flowers together and adhering them along with the different stems and leaves to create my flower card arrangement. Have a look!

So what do you think?

Happy Birthday!

Happy Sunday Everyone! If you are like me then you never seem to have enough Happy Birthday cards on hand. So I am working on some with the amazing new release from Sparkle Blends! If you haven't seen it, OMG go look!!!! It is fabulous! And I have been eagerly waiting to purchase the new release from Clearly Besotted. It went live yesterday and we are talking cuteness overload! I am playing with some of their most recent past release stamp sets for this project while i wait for my order. Have a look at what I created!

I am using the new blend called Subtle Rainbow. You all know I totally have a thing for rainbows and of course I HAD to use this one first! I am also using from Clearly Besotted called Brighter Days and Freshwater Friends. I am also using a fabulous die from Spellbinders that I finally got and have been wanting from the moment I saw it! The dot for the I is actually attached to the rest of the word so you don't lose your dot, which of course, I always do!

I really adore how this came out!

Head over to the Sparkle Blends Shop. and grab your favorites!!!!!! And as always, take a look on the Doodles Paper Playground blogFacebook page and in the Sparkle Blends Fan Club on Facebook to see all the fun things going on!

I do hope you enjoy this project and can't wait to see what you create!

Hugs!
