Stop and smell the Rose'

Hi Everyone! Is is just me or does spending an afternoon on a lush vineyard sound just about perfect? So check this out. I am playing with this fabulous set from Hero Arts called Vineyard Heroscapes. To be completely honest I seriously love the Hero Arts Scene Building stamp sets. I will be doing a ton of playing with these.
For these layering stamps I do personally love using my MISTI, which I find make it really easy to line up the images. All the stamped elements you see are from this amazing set, and there were even more stamps in it that I didn't use on this project. I used Catherine Pooler Inks in the following colors to create my scene: Garden Party, Lime Rickey, Grass Skirt, Sangria, Stone Blue, Juniper Mist, and Hot Tub. I did also use a blending brush with Stone Blue to add the base of the sky. I then adhered it to a white cardstock card base. I attached everything with my favorite scor tape.

Wishing You A Very Merry Christmas

Happy Monday Sparkle Blends Fans! As we impatiently wait for the new September Release I am working on some Christmas cards. It is never too early to get moving on those. So check this out!
I am using Old St. Nick to create this adorable shaker card. I am using a kit from Queen and Company for my project. I adore how this Special Delivery kit makes such a fun scene card. The dies in this set are perfect for making this super cute truck with a shaker spot designed right in. I have also used a stencil from My Favorite Things called, appropriately, Cloud, to mak my cloud background for my holiday truck to drive toward.
Make sure you grab your favorites from the August Release as well as all of the amazing Sparkle Blends. So head over to the Sparkle Blends Shop. And, take a look on the Doodles Paper Playground blogFacebook page and in the Sparkle Blends Fan Club on Facebook to see all the fun things going on!

I Believe In You

Hi Everyone! Is is just me that is not ready for summer to be over? I really miss the beach. So I thought I would play at the beach, at least in my craftroom. So check this out. I am playing with this fabulous set from Hero Arts called Beach Heroscapes. To be completely honest I am totally hooked on the Hero Arts Scene Building stamp sets. I will be doing a ton of playing with these.
I did use my MISTI which I found made it really easy to line up the images as I did my stamping. I used Catherine Pooler Inks in the following colors to create my scene: Juniper Mist, Over Coffee, Sandcastle, Stone Blue, It's A Boy and Something Borrowed. I then layered my card surface up with some pearlescent cardstock and then adhered it to a white cardstock card base. I attached everything with my favorite scor tape.

Party Like A Pineapple

Hey Everyone! Today I am thinking that I really need to relax this weekend and what better way than with pineapples and sparkle! Check this fun project out!
This mix is called Pineapple Garden and look how cute! I have actually used a Stamp Set from Stamps of Life called pineapple2stamp and a matching die set called pineapple2stamp dies and a 6x6 paper pad called Shine that coordinates really well with the mix and the stamp set!
I used acetate to create my shaker window and foam tape to create the sparkle pouch. I did use my Copics to color up my pineapple, and some Sizzix circle dies as well. Now it does appear that I had already used all the actual pineapples from my mix already, but I think all the rest of the pieces are in there!

Let's Do Breakfast (or Lunch)

Hi Everyone! Today I am bringing you this egg-citing project! So let's get started! To begin with I have used Classic Crest Solar White 110 pound cardstock for my card base. I have cut my card base to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and then scored and folded at 4 1/4" to create the card base.
Next from this really fabulous paper pack from CutCardstock called Premium 6x6 Assorted Dots And Stripes Discount Cardstock Paper-90 Sheets I am using one of the Dots Pattern Papers and cutting that to 5 1/4" by 4" for my matting layer.
I am then using one of the stripes papers from the same pack and using a 4" circle die to cut a "plate" for my eggs and bacon. I am using a Stamp Set and a Die Set from Stamps of Life called bacon&eggs2stamp and die-bacon. I then trimmed down the left side of the circle so that it appears that the edge of the plate is not pictured I then stamped my sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and my MISTI stamping tool.
Next I am stamping onto another piece of the Classic Crest Solar White 110 pound cardstock my bacon and my eggs using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and my MISTI stamping tool.
I then colored up my eggs and bacon and used coordinating dies to cut them out. I have used the following Copic colors: Y11, Y13, Y15, Y17, B0000, E08, E50, and E97.
I used Scor Tape to adhere the layers as well as adhere the panel to the card base.
I really love how this turned out. I do hope you like this project and as always, I can't wait to see what you create!

Judy

Flutter By Butterfly

Hi Everyone!  I am playing with more Resin and having so much fun! I can honestly say I have learned a lot so far including some epic fails, as well as some major triumphs. So check this out.
I used Resin to create this super cute necklace using Flutter By Butterfly. This is such a fun blend to create with and I love how you can create layers so that all your sequins are on various levels throughout the resin. I am always so excited with how the Sparkle Blends throw so much light and sparkle. And this lavender leather cord worked perfectly with this blend!

I love how well it works with Copic markers. The colors are vivid and blend really well. Check it out on this project. I have used the following Copic Colors: Y38, YR68, R08, R27, E08, E11, E13, E15, E17, E40, E50, E79, B01

Who Doesn't Love Baby Shark!

Happy Monday Everyone! Let's start out the week with some resin fun! Yes I am still playing with resin and still getting the hang of it. So check out this super fun necklace i came up with using Baby Shark Sparkle Blends Sequin Mix!
I actually wanted the resin to cure with bubbles to make this feel like the sharks were swimming.
I really love how this came out. The Sparkle Blends are so totally perfect for resin projects as the way resin works allows all the color and sparkle to actually be magnified and works with the light that filters through the resin. It also does ot require any extra steps like sealing the sequin blends, so it is fun and fast! And you get the added benefit of being able to see the sparkle blends from different angles catching so much light!

Make sure you check out the new August Release and grab it before it is gone, as well as all of the amazing Sparkle Blends. So head over to the Sparkle Blends Shop. And, take a look on the Doodles Paper Playground blog, Facebook page and in the Sparkle Blends Fan Club on Facebook to see all the fun things going on!
I do hope you enjoy this project and can't wait to see what you create!

Hi Eeveryone! Today I am really using my Emoji-nation and thinking outside the box. I am playing with Resin and I am having so much fun! I can't wait to show you all of the fun things I have been creating with this months' blends. So check this out.
I used Resin to create this super cute keychain using Use Your Emoji-nation Sparkle Blends. This is such a fun blend to create with and I love how you can create layers so that all your sequins are on various levels throughout the resin. I also found this fun multicolored key chain hardware, so after my piece was dry I just had to add a jump ring and then add the hardware.

Soy Happy Together

Hi Everyone! Today I am bringing you a sushi special! This adorable project starts with a Classic Crest Solar White 110 pound cardstock for my card base. For this project I used a die from Waffle Flower Stamps called Sunshine Panel Die. I cut this from Pop Tone Black Licorice Card Stock.
I then used a standard card layer die from Lawn Fan to cut an underneath panel in Pop Tone Wild Cherry Cardstock.Scor Tape.
I then adhered the two layers using
Next I stamped out my sushi images from an adorable stamp set that was part of the Hedgehog Hollow July Kit using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and my MISTI stamping tool. I then colored up my images using Copic markers.
I then cut out these images and placed them on my card front using Scor Tape. I then stamped out my sentiment also from the same set again using Memento Tuxedo Black and then trimmed the sentiment to my desired size and attached it with Scor Tape. And finally I attached this to my white cardstock base.
I really love how this turned out. I do hope you like this project and as always, I can't wait to see what you create!
