Well, it apparently seems to be graduation season. If you are like me then you possibly have felt as if time has been a bit of a blur. Yesterday was actually my daughter's last official day of school and she starts finals today! I can't believe it! So let's take a look at a graduation card!!!!
We are starting with Royal Sundance Felt Cardstock in Brilliant White. If you haven't played with this cardstock before, it has an amazing, elegant feel to it! Definitely put it on your must try list! So I am starting by cutting my cardstock to create an A2 card base. Next I am cutting a layer from Pop Tone Black Licorice Cardstock, cutting my layer to 4 x 5 1/4 inches, then Habanero Red Cardstock cut to 3 3/4 x 5 inches, then Astrobrights Solar Yellow Cardstock cut to 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches, and finally a layer of Royal Sundance Felt Cardstock in Brilliant White cut to 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 inches.
I am then adhering my layers with Scor Tape. Before I adhere my smallest, white layer however, I am using my MISTI and stamping my sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black Pigment Ink and then used Gina K. Fine Detail Clear Embossing Powder to heat set my image.Next I used the same cardstock as I used for my layers and die cut a graduation cap and a little diploma. The dies and sentiment all came from a Queen and Company Set called Special Delivery Summer Celebration Kit. Now to make assembly easier, I added Scor Tape to the back of my cardstock before I die cut so it made the pieces into stickers and made it a lot easier to attach. And finally I added the bling stars also from Queen and Company.
I really adore how this came out!
