There Is Purpose

Hello Friends! Today I wanted to bring you something that for some of you may be a bit different, and for some of you, you may be thinking, this is not new and how are you so late to the party! Ok, so what exactly am I talking about? I have recently become a fan of Pinkfresh Studios line and, in particular, they have washi tape that has a super strong hold, and it coordinates with a matching die. So you put your washi tape on your cardstock and then use the coordinating die and run it through your die cutting machine! All your card elements are then cut out already colored and ready to just adhere to your projects. How awesome is that! And they have the matching stamps also, and stencils that even match so you can do your own colors. But for todays' project I am using the washi tape.

Oh and one thing to also keep in mind when using washi on cardstock, the color of the cardstock that you use can either brighten or subdue the washi colors a little bit. And full credit, I learned about this while attending a virtual online retreat called Happiness is Homemade which was put on by a company called Firefly Farms, and was able to take a virtual class on this using Pinkfresh Studios products and learned from the amazing, and very talented Lea Lawson. So, you are getting my spin on this project, so lets get to the project.

I am using Joyful Bouquet Washi Tape and coordinating die, along with the sentiment stamp set from the coordinating stamp set. I am using Classic Crest Natural White for not only creating my A2 card base, but also for my smallest card layer. Additionally I am using Adobo Textured Cardstock and Yellow Jacket Textured Cardstock for my layers. My A2 card layer is creted by cutting my Classic Crest Natural White to 8 1/2 inches x 5 1/2 inches and then scoring at 4 1/4 inches. I am then cutting my Adobo Textured Cardstock to 4 inches by 5 1/4 inches, and my Yellow Jacket Textured Cardstock to 3 3/4 inches by 5 inches, and finally Classic Crest Natural White  to 3 1/2 inches by 4 3/4 inches. I am then adhering all my layers with ScorTape

Next I am taking a piece of my washi, adhered to a sheet of Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. I wanted to make sure my colors stay as true and bright as possible. I am then using the coordinating die and running it through my die cut machine. I chose a sentiment from the matching stamp set and used my MISTI and Memento Tuxedo Black to stamp my sentiment and then just trimmed around the sentiment. Then using ScorTape I adhered my flowers, and the cute bow that I had in my stash from Anna Griffin from a number of years ago. And finally, I used Double Sided Foam Adhesive Circles to pop up my sentiment. And there you have it!

I have an affiliate link for CutCaardstock if you would please consider using it. It doesn't cost you anything to use and does help me continue to bring you fun and fabulous projects! Here is the link:
