Congrats!

Well, it apparently seems to be graduation season. If you are like me then you possibly have felt as if time has been a bit of a blur. Yesterday was actually my daughter's last official day of school and she starts finals today! I can't believe it! So let's take a look at a graduation card!!!!

We are starting with Royal Sundance Felt Cardstock in Brilliant White. If you haven't played with this cardstock before, it has an amazing, elegant feel to it! Definitely put it on your must try list! So I am starting by cutting my cardstock to create an A2 card base. Next I am cutting a layer from Pop Tone Black Licorice Cardstock, cutting my layer to 4 x 5 1/4 inches, then Habanero Red Cardstock cut to 3 3/4 x 5 inches, then Astrobrights Solar Yellow Cardstock cut to 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches, and finally a layer of Royal Sundance Felt Cardstock in Brilliant White cut to 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 inches.

I am then adhering my layers with Scor Tape. Before I adhere my smallest, white layer however, I am using my MISTI and stamping my sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black Pigment Ink and then used Gina K. Fine Detail Clear Embossing Powder to heat set my image.

Next I used the same cardstock as I used for my layers and die cut a graduation cap and a little diploma. The dies and sentiment all came from a Queen and Company Set called Special Delivery Summer Celebration Kit. Now to make assembly easier, I added Scor Tape to the back of my cardstock before I die cut so it made the pieces into stickers and made it a lot easier to attach. And finally I added the bling stars also from Queen and Company.

I really adore how this came out!

It Is A Kinda Cute Weekend at Crafting of Hue!

Happy Saturday Everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! I wanted to have at least a little playtime this weekend and got to color up this cutie! You can find this adorable Digi Stamp Set in their shop here: https://kindacutebypatricia.com/hot-balloon-and-animals-digital-stamp/

Have a look!

I colored this up using copics, then used a Lawn Fawn Clouds Stencil and whatever was still left in my blue blending brush to create the clouds. I then used patterned paper from Simple Stories for my background to adhere to my card front. This Digi image is really perfect for slim line cards, and this one measures 3 1/2 by 8 1/2 inches.

I do hope you like this as much as I do!

As always, I can't wait to see what you create! Have a great rest of the weekend everyone!

Hugs,

 Judy

Have A Magical Day!

I don't know about you, but one of my most favorite holidays of the entire year is National Scrapbook Day! So many companies are celebrating with all kinds of giveaways, challenges, contests, etc. So for me it truly IS a magical day. I am playing with Amber's Birthday Bash Sparkle Blend today along with my Magical Characters Kit from Queen and Company. From this set I have used the bow die as well as the foam shaker, along with the paper pad that comes with the kit and the outline die set which is sold separately. Additionally I have used some solid papers from Beach Bound Solids and Winter Wonderland Solids 6x6 Paper Pads. I am using one of the Queen and Company sketches for the Sketch Challenge they have posted for NSD. Amber's Birthday Bash is truly THE perfect blend for this project! It totally works with all the pieces and all the colors and I love how it all just comes together!

I really adore how this came out!

Believe

Anything Is Possible If You Believe. I absolutely love this sentiment. And what goes better with a sentiment like this? Rainbows, clouds, unicorns, holo, and you guessed it, a shaker!

For my project I am using Cloud Stencil from Lawn Fawn along with Distress Inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry, Blueprint Sketch, and Wilted Violet. For my blending I am using the pretty rainbow colored Blending Brushes by Taylored Expressions. I am using a stamp set from Visible Image called Believe In Unicorns. I stamped the sentiment and image using my MISTI and stamped with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and then used Gina K. Embossing Powder in Fine Detail Clear. I then created the infinity shaker with acetate and Oh, Hollo Sparkle Blend Sequin Mix! I adore this mix for so many different projects!

I really adore how this came out!

Do you ever feel that a card you are creating just needs a little something, and you aren't quite sure what that something might be?  Maybe you need a little sparkle! Have a look!

I am starting with mt favorite Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock for my card base which I cut to 5 12 by 8 1/2 inches and then scored and folded at 4 1/4 inches to create my card base.  Now for my black layers I am using Silk Glitter Card Stock in Black Prince. This card Stock is really gorgeous and sparkles so much more in person! I am cutting the Black Prince layers in 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 inches and 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 inches. I am also cutting from the Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock a card layer sized to 5 1/4 x 4 inches and another to 4 5/8 x 3 3/8 inches.

Next I am using a gorgeous new stamp set from LDRS Creative called Pelargonium. I stamped my images with my MISTI and then used Gina K. Fine Detail Clear Embossing Powder to heat set my images. I then used Scor Tape to adhere my layers, I did use foam tape to pop up one of my layers to add a little dimension.

And here you have the finished card. Simple and elegant, but with a sparkle pizazz!
